Fabric distinction
To judge whether the fabric is a sword-woven fabric or an air-jet fabric, it can be seen from the weave of the fabric edge:
(1) Usually the polyester-cotton thread is rapier (overlock device), and the filament is air-jet weaving (planetary gear device).
(2) Air-jet double-split fabric with thread on one side and filament on the other. (The middle is the locking device, and the two sides are equipped with planetary gears).
(3) Rapier double-open fabric, both side yarns are polyester-cotton threads (both are overlock devices).
Loom distinction
Rapier looms: Use rigid or flexible rapier heads, belts to hold and guide the weft. In addition to being suitable for weaving plain and textured fabrics, rapier looms are characterized by easy color changing, suitable for multi-color weft fabrics, and are suitable for the production of yarn-dyed, double-layer fleece fabrics, terry fabrics and decorative fabrics.
Air-jet loom: The weft yarn is pulled by the compressed air jet, and the weft yarn is taken through the shed. The biggest feature of air-jet looms is fast speed and high labor productivity.
The advantages and disadvantages of grey cloth
(1) The grey fabric produced by jet machine generally has many varieties of fine-count yarns and high grades of grades, mainly light and thin fabrics; rapier machines generally have many varieties of coarse-counted yarns with low grades of grades, mainly heavy fabrics.
(2) From the point of view of equipment, jet and rapier are nothing more than weft insertion.
(3) For grey fabrics of the same organization, the cost of raw materials is the same, and the weaving cost is lower. For example, for twill, the maximum speed of the jet can reach more than 800 rpm, the rapier is only about 180-200 rpm, and the jet-blocking personnel can watch 10-12 units per person. And up to 4-6 arrow shafts.
The commonality and heterogeneity of fabrics
Commonality: All are burrs and can be of the same specification.
Heterosexual: On the premise of the same yarn count and specifications:
The jet gram is slightly lighter.
The flatness of air-jet flat grey cloth is better than that of rapier production.
The shrinkage rate of air-jet loom fabrics will be larger accordingly.
Air-jet yarn is better than rapier.
